Terms of Service
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Truitas (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
The service
Truitas connects to your version-control provider in a read-only capacity and turns the activity in a billing period — commits, pull requests, and changed files — into an Invoice Support Packet: a plain-language, tamper-evident record you can share with a client alongside an invoice.
Truitas analyzes Git metadata and never writes to your repositories. The verdicts, risk signals, and AI-usage indicators we surface are informational aids, not a guarantee of code quality or correctness. You remain responsible for the work you bill for.
Accounts & responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
- Only connect repositories you are authorized to access.
- Do not attempt to alter, forge, or tamper with packet records or the audit ledger.
- Do not use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
Packet integrity
Each Invoice Support Packet is hashed and chained into a tamper-evident ledger, and may be signed with Truitas's attestation key. This lets you and your client independently verify that a packet was not altered after it was generated. Anyone with a valid share link can view the packet read-only; you can revoke a share link at any time.
Billing & subscriptions
Paid Truitas plans are billed through our third-party payment provider on a recurring basis. Truitas does not hold, escrow, or disburse funds between you and your clients — we are not a party to, and take no role in, the invoices you send to your clients.
Subscription fees are described on our pricing page and are non-refundable except as required by law. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
Records & retention
To preserve the integrity and verifiability of the packets you generate, Truitas retains packet content and ledger records after a packet is finalized. You may export your packets at any time. Retention windows for Enterprise customers may be configured separately.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Truitas is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for any billing, payment, or other dispute between you and your clients.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Provisions relating to records, liability, and payments survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
